The three biggest hits on TPP were Anaconda, Only and Truffle Butter. PNP didn't do great for a lead single. TNISY didn't do as well as expected either, it had tons of radio adds (probably organized by her label), but still wasn't very big. Bed Of Lies and Trini Dem Girls flopped. And Bang Bang is irrelevant to the discussion.
Hey Mama is the only exception really. But it isn't her song. There are tons of EDM fans out there that are interested in David's music.
The thing is she didn't even try with the Urban singles besides Anaconda. So there's definitely potential for next era.

I agree with the anaconda part
Chart postions didn't matter for PNP. I don't think Nicki cared about wanting it be a smash hit. She was just being open. People who usually don't listen to Nicki loved PNP because it is relatable. The song brought fans and was a positive influence ln her image. I think it did good. She could have chosen a different song as the lead single but PNP is underrated IMO
TNISY did decent for it circumstances. Hey mama was the stronger pop song so it did better and snubbed it IMO. It could have charted higher and if she would have released tnisy instead of bol and performed it at the AMAs and EMAs it would have gone top 10
You don't consider Hey mama her song? Do you not consider turn me on Nicki song? Bang Bang was apart of the TPP era and she's feature on the song so I consider it her single too. The song is under her hot 100 entries so I don't see the difference.
Bed of lies flopped true
I don't even consider tdg a single tbh

and TPP era was over with at that point
Yea I feel like Nicki is going to release only urban singles for NM4. Which is the best route
