Oh topic particles

So は is a topic particle in Japanese, basically the main one you use when discussing a subject in Japanese. For example the sentence "I walked to the store yesterday" would be

昨日、私は店にあるきました

は in this sentence tells you the topic in it is "I". There are many particles in Japanese that tell you what the sentence implies.
