Well iTunes only releases aren't eligible (I remember U2 had to release their iTunes only album on Vinyl to make it eligible) . Its actually shocking that streaming did something iTunes never could

Edit : I just read up on this again and it says something different, wasn't there an article saying the album was disqualified for not having a physical release? Must've read it wrong i guess.

This isn't a decision made about how "powerful" streaming is.

It's about the artist who wants to let their music be consumed for free, with streaming, and feeling their material should be eligible for recognition at the Grammys. It's only fair. It's still a piece of art that they put work into. It should be recognized, if deserved.

I think it means that voters will probably just focus on voting in categories they're most familiar with versus randomly casting votes based on who they might know (or favor) in a certain category.

I don't think so because it'd have to feature more rap than singing, they changed the rules a few years ago but I don't know if this new change affects that. Too Good has a chance though.
