Hillary has wanted universal healthcare since the 90s. She just realizes incrementally expanding Obamacare into universal healthcare is a more viable approach to accomplishing it than just starting over with something new.

Obamacare IS universal healthcare. Well the program that will get us to it. You are confusing free and single payer health care for all with universal healthcare/Obamacare which is not the case.
There are a lot of contradictions between Warren and Clinton which the GOP would pick apart. Warren isn't going to be able to vehemently defend her VERY progressive policies in case she contradicts Clinton's. It's going to be very difficult for her.
They don't have to share the exact same policies, but they can't be too different. Warren would need to alter her stance on some issues a little.
