I don't remember much about him, just that he was annoying and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The gen 3 rival was so-so, and 5 and 6 (especially) were indeed the pits. The kids in XY basically ruined the game for me, they just couldn't let me be great without LENGTHY interruptions every time I entered or exited a town

HGSS were actually pretty tough overall with the Kanto postgame, all things considered!

Eh, when ranking the gens I meant more so the main games, not remakes unless there is something in the remake unique to that gen (ie: Sevii Islands to Gen 3, Delta Episode to Gen 6, etc).
