A suburbs based series would be too messy, what made MH/Asylum so good is that it was a small tightly knit cast, suburbs would introduce way too many characters it's just end up a diluted mess imo A cult or cannibals on a farm would work really well though

also when they can't even make a lightless and murderous hotel dark or scary, they def can't make suburbs with stepford imagery scary.

I honestly think this is what next season will be. Ryan already said he's planning on using kids next season and it would be a combination of 2 different themes. So have a cult of cannibalistic children in a farm town with either a monster/killer residing in the crops or aliens (crop circles) and it would be a perfect season.
