I'm going to Beys concert on Friday and I went to The anti tour a few months ago so I can compare for myself

Madonna doesn't* "need" elaborate stages (WTGT, VT, BA, GST), but they rather serve as performance enhancers.

Not a hard concept to understand.

Most people are fine attending for the song and dance. I'll never understand why that's a bad thing.

It's like dragging a rock show cause they don't have giant props and they play instruments the entire time. Or an electronic music festival, with an amazing light show, but understated stage design.

If we're talking just raw performance ability...then ya, Beyonce is a better singer and dancer than Madonna.

If we're talking better performer (all things considered), it's very subjective. Cause some people look for that big production quality. That said, Beyonce can do what Madonna does on stage with all the props and stuff...

I went to the FWT a few weeks ago and I noticed that the people in the first row were standing still. So I moved to get a closer look and it turned out they were just mesmerized at the sheer talent emanating from the stage.

People watching on YouTube (you know the kind who couldn't afford a ticket) will be confused observing these people. Because it was just one of those you had to be there moments.

Simply amazing.

Anyway, I'm so glad Beyonce has been giving the same show since 2003. And that people have continued to respond well...and even gravitate toward it. It means she's gonna be in this touring business for a long time.

I don't have to worry about her running out of ideas and resorting to flashing **** or w/e people do on stage when they lack raw talent.

It's very smart to align herself with black power/culture. More and more she will become impervious to criticism because it will be seen as racist to criticize her.

Sorry, but there is absolutely nothing exciting and jawdropping about any of her concerts. Yeah, we know she can sing, but that isn't going to last forever (see Mariah).

When I want to go to a POP concert, I want a cohesive storytelling show. Not just leotards and long weave. There is nothing that separates FWT from any other past Beyonce tour.

And I agree, and have stated Beyonce's weakness is her concerts (right now, black women & black gays are loyal to a fault), but had she had Madonna's creative vision, she would rightfully surpass Madonna as the best concert performer of all time.

But right now, i'm just not see any progress towards that.
