This had so many marketing deals I'm not sure how much it would need but at least $400M WW to break even.

I had hoped the slower opening would soften the second-week drop for some reason like the way FC fell around 55% but this is as steep a decline as DOFP (64%). At this point it's likely not to even hit its budget in gross domestic takings (let alone make profit). That would also leave its total US takings behind the opening weekend of CW

I get the disappointment, at least for me. Personally, I dont watch trailers of movie I'm 100% gonna see.
So after the last scene of DOFP, and finding out the next one was called Apocalypse; I was expecting the old x men to fight against him ( Like bring the A Game, the pro mutant against the real Bad dude).
I was expecting a really epic battle; not some newbies defeating him.

That's one movie... As a Hollywood rule sequels should do better than previous movies and recently there's been a huge trend of diminishing returns. Studios are definitely in panic because now everyone is depending on those big franchises.
