What was your method? A lot of other members asked but you didn't answer and I'm curious. Cause I thought Metacritic not only omitted certain publications but also weighed them differently and often re-adjusted that weighing formula. So, how did you figure that all out? Not saying you did it wrong, just asking how.

Basically, I take the main critics' scores and the miscellaneous scores and average it out. I check with the metacritic scores they have today and see how they did. I take the common ones they use and weigh it out. I'm not being biased with any of these scores.

Um, how do you calculate these exactly?
You know MC have a special formula and each critic from their exclusive list is weighted differently (and they're not willing to tell anyone how they do so)?
For instance, it doesn't make sense that Homogenic is scored lower than Vespertine considering it is much more acclaimed, and would've probably been in the mid/high 90s.

Also:
Official relevant scores = 15 critics min
Less relevant scores = 7 critics min
Minimum for official scores = 4 critics min
(so it's important to note on how many reviews your scores are based on for each album and who are the publications)

Basically, nothing here is accurate at all

Hun, assuming you don't work at Metacritic and create scores for albums there, you DON'T know the business. You just assume you do. And I HAVE seen the reviews of Homogenic which is why I mentioned it in the first place

I apologize!! Really sorry. That Homogenic was not meant to be an 87. That shoulda been a 92. I saved the scores on my computer. Just corrected it, so I'm sorry. I thought you meant Vespertine should be higher that Homogenic, that's why I was confused. But other than Bjork, what else do you think I'm wrong about?!

It's fine, I hope it didn't come off as if I was attacking. I just gave Homogenic as an example and I don't know what other scores might be wrong (I still think it would've been mid 90s rather than low 90s tbh) . My point is just that there's no way to be 100% accurate with these calculations, but what you do is a good indicator to what could've been the scores for the albums.

I know that the scores may not be 100% correct, but what I do is take the professional reviews and look at the other small reviews and balance it out so it can be close yet accurate so that it can be a fun but close look at some album scores. I think Homogenic may be in the mid 90s hadn't it had been for that "A.V. review". But we're cool. Now I feel bad I was about to use this gif on you earlier.....
