I can just imagine the losers from my high school that would work at McDonald's their whole lives knowing they can make that much without having to do any work to get to it.

The thing is now, experience and even a college education doesn't actually guarantee you a better paying job. i know people who have a university degree, but cannot find any work so are stuck in a low paying job as it at least provides them with income.
i just graduated college, and have sent out over 70 job applications and haven't even had an interview. I currently have a job that pays just above minimum wage, and work literally 6 days a week to just barely be able to pay rent. if i wasn't married, I would probably be forced to live with my parents as rents here are expensive. Food is expensive. Part of me feels I wasted my time even bothering with college as that hasn't really gotten me anything.
Well $15 is probably a little excessive. i feel maybe $12.50 might be a good wage.
