Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be a good deal better, back to downpours on Thursday though. RG basically forcing players out in these conditions so they don't have to reimburse ticket buyers, again.
Hitting wet balls may be bad for her wrist but it ain't nobody's fault but hers. It is what it is. Hope she is 100% for Wimbledon (as well as her grass warmups) because she's defending a boatload.
Roland Garros getting exactly 2 hours and 1 minutes of play in today to guarantee them no refunds. Cheeky bastards. Players risking injuries, fans soaking their asses wet for what i am sure is a very expesive ticket for the day. I'd be livid!

Times like this I wish there were a roof...but then that destroys the tradition. First of all, this is an outdoor tournament. Second, the rain delays add to the drama of the tournament + matches. The past two days have been anomalies. Yes, they shouldn't have made the players play, but I don't think a roof is necessary.

Tradition? So should they go back to playing wooden racquets because of tradition as well?
The roof is a necessity. It would still be an outdoor tournament with roof only used at times like this so that there's no ridiculous outcomes of matches and organizers trying to get out of refunding tickets by punishing the players.

I think the benefits outweigh any of the potential hazards. Having a court or two that can be played on in bad weather can keep the schedule from unravelling into a disaster like we have at RG16. I think it was due to the novelty that they would close the roof very quickly at Wimbledon in the early days. They only close it now if the forecast is for extended rain rather than showers.
It started off with a simple question: Who's the most famous athlete in the world? Ben Alamar, ESPN's director of sports analytics, devised a formula that combines salary and endorsements with social media following and Google search popularity
#5 Roger Federer
#10 Rafael Nadal
#16 Novak Djokovic
#18 Maria Sharapova
#25 Serena Williams
#31 Andy Murray
#41 Sania Mirza
#47 Kei Nishikori
#74 Venus Williams
Btw, I was watching the Wawrinka VS Djokovic Australian Open 2014 QF yesterday.
Stan's backhand is literally a work of art.
Nationalism aside, I think Murray has a more realistic chance at the title against Novak than Gasquet. But it's hard not to watch Gasquet and will him on, love his game.
