I just saw this thread while listening to some old Mary J Blige songs and it made me furious that she's being mocked by some people, especially on ATRL. She's the QUEEN of hip hop/soul and most of her earlier songs are timeless classics. Family Affair and No More Drama are sooooo good. They still sound fresh and I get goosebumps whenever I listen to them.
She deserves more respect tbh. This younger generation is the absolute PITS.
I have to admit that I ignored untitled unmastered. when it first came out, I only listened to it twice in March and that's it I watched a CD unboxing video today and randomly played untitled 08 and it's slaying me so hard right now Same with Kamaiyah's mixtape, didn't really care for it at first, but N****a, HDIF and Out the Bottle are literally so good, wtf
Can any of you recommend me some good new albums/mixtapes? Or maybe not even necessarily new. Thanks!
