Not the Westerosi theater advancing more the plot than this episode.
Again, it doesn't make sense for Bran to skinchange Hodor in the past if Hodor was normal, entering the mind of a human is extremely difficult. Anyway this is D&D logic so, they said Bloodraven "uploaded" all his data into Bran's mind.
I hope GRRM releases a new sample chapter.

But didn't they say GRRM told them how Hodor became Hodor..
So that was GRRM's idea..
Arya, the whole character has became so pointless at this stage...
Bran disappeared from the last season because he was doing the training with 3ER..
Why can't they just do the same with Arya...
Her story has been on repeat for 2 seasons already..
She killed an insignificant person last season, now she is about to kill another unimportant character again..
and she refuses to do it..
I just ****ing can't..

They said that Shireen's burning was also his idea but there's no way it happens in the books like they did it in the show, their "George told us" is just a way to blame him for things that may seen inexplicable.
I can also believe that Hodor was a GRRM idea. It seems like something he'd do, and the setup is too perfect to have come from the showrunners tbh.
It was definitely his idea, but Tthe show runners D&D did their own twist on the "hold the door" story. The supposedly original one was during the Sack of King's Landing. It happened when Hodor was guarding Elia Martell and the Mountain was trying to break into the room to kill her (Tywin ordered him to do that), and she was screaming at him (Hodor) "HOLD THE DOOR, HOLD THE DOOR", but he broke in anyways raped/murdered her.

I don't know if GRRM had previously revealed that the Children had created the White Walkers but it was an interesting reveal all the same. Good of them to sacrifice themselves after the horrors they unleashed.

Idk, this sacrifice mentality to let others escape is such a generic and overused thing to do
Definitely the best episode of the season so far, I think. The Hodor moment was great
Gotta say though Arya's storyline since leaving the Hound has felt so... Pointless. Especially this season since it seems like she's gonna make the same damn mistake and not kill the actress and probably get herself killed.
If she does make it back to Westeros she's gonna be confused as **** tho
I liked the episode! Such a sad ending. Every episode makes me more and more worried for Sansa tho. And I really hope Jorah survives the greyscale now.
