I personally love Delphox but I do understand the backlash. Some of it may come from her being bipedal but I don't really think that's the issue, coz a lot of people loved Braixen. I think the issue was that they had expectations for what it could be like - either on all fours like Ninetales - or when Braixen was revealed, they were probably expecting some sorceress-esque creature (see Sakuyamon), and not some old cabin watch (the ageism tbh). Because they didn't get what they wanted, they rejected her. It also has something to do with the skirt / dress or something.

For me, i loved fennekin! but bipedal was a huge turn off! I dont understand why GF loves to repeat things constantly! Fire/fighting! Every fire starter standing on 2! etc
