For more casual gamers (who comprise probably a majority of purchasers) it's more fun to learn as you go, figure it out.
I wouldn't have liked being a kid and having it all laid out for me when I first played Silver; I loved the sense of discovery and learning the world, immersing myself in it. Since I know everything about Pokemon a lot more in depth now, it wouldn't make a difference to me that much, but in remembering that experience I think I like it how it is.

I can see where you're coming from, but I guess I just respectfully disagree. Having the opponents HP # shown doesn't ruin the immersion anymore than your own HP # being shown, for example.
and does anyone have any cute Litten fan art? I like Rowlet and Popplio but all I ever see is fan art of them.. Where is Litten ha stans?
