I mean, we all want that. The difficulty was essentially the only flaw I found in Gen 6 aside from no postgame/Frontier but we can all acknowledge it was a problem, partly because of the really strange level scaling and partly because of the Exp. Share issue.

I mean, it really is weird that they just dropped Kalos when the sales were there, the interest was there, the anime was going with it, etc. - and poor Zygarde is going to be the only legendary trio member to be weaker than both of his counterparts. But in hindsight, I'm kind of glad and I'm already super hyped for S&M.

I read a lot of speculation of people saying there would be a *Hunt Zygarde's Cells* element to SM to make Zygarde 100%.

But that would imply the game has a way to go back to Kalos because Zygarde is a Kalosi Pokémon, his place is in that region, his dex entry talks about him literally being the defender of Kalos.

See, I just don't see it. I loved Gen 6 and all, but I think that these rumors are born purely out of surprise at how fast they moved on without concluding Zygarde's story and mechanics. I don't think there's an ounce of credibly connection. It seems more like they dropped Kalos like a hot potato and just ran, you know?

It'd make no sense to me for them to create Zygard Core, 10% and 100% and not do anything with that in the games. So messy.

It makes no sense not to use them, but then again, they've never failed to have another game (or set of games) in the main region of a generation before, and they changed that.

Do we know anything about why they did it like this? Because it really feels like they planned to have a Z and then changed their minds sometime in like early-to-mid 2015 or so, and shifted gears to S&M. But there's no explanation.

Also, Zygarde is a really clear parallel to Rayquaza. Maybe they thought his planned plot was too redundant.
