Dothrakis follow nothing but strength. Therefore, when Khal Drogo was dying due to infection (lol), the strongest members of his khalasar deserted him to become khals themselves. By doing so, they left with a big portion of Drogo's khalasar leaving behind slaves that Daenerys had freed, old people and women. In other words, they left behind the weakest members of Drogo's khalasar that wouldn't have gone against her.
Daenerys had Jorah along with her three bloodriders Aggo, Jhogo and Rakharo to protect her. Also, giving "birth" to her dragons gave her power and authority. There's no way she was going to get dragged to Dosh Khaleen. Even if it wasn't for that, Jorah would've found a way to get her out of there.
