I actually think this could be what it is, because Calvin Harris's song has been getting shockingly good pop radio updates as well.
Maybe Work being #1 for 9 weeks and being followed by Panda has made them go all out with promoting any pop song that has a possibility of smashing.
I've never seen anything like Justin Timberlake's radio updates, it's incredible. Good for him, but it's risky because if Drake's album had gone on Spotify (thus increasing OD's streams) and/or the One Dance video got released that might have been enough to block Justin and all this would have been for nothing.
