He's a SPS monster. It's crossing 3M in SPS in 2016 alone potentially. He is doing fine.

He has literally said he would want to do Adele's numbers. There's nothing wrong with noting the fact that although he does put up great opening week number he lacks the star power to accomplish more than that which in turn makes his opening week less impressive than it would be otherwise.

And ehh at SPS. So is Ariana Grande.

Even without a December release, Nicki & J. Cole have always had amazing second week sales. I don't have J. Cole's album figures but this is Nicki's:

Pink Friday's second week sales: 103
(73% drop)

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded's first week sales: 253k
Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded's second week sales: 81k

The Pinkprint first week sales: 194k
The Pinkprint second week sales: 105k
(46% drop)

She experiences a lower second week drop with each era. From 73% to 69% to 46%. Nicki's longevity is improving.

Drake has pop fans too. All of his big recent hits have been pop songs. And he's been trying his hardest to become a pop girl.

I was referring to big commercial rappers past and present. Kanye, Jay, and 50 have all had huge WW pop hits and also have large pop fanbases but their sales have always been front loaded. That's the point the poster was trying to make.

Drake is no exception just because he's the only BIG rapper doing it right now..
