True if a mother wants child support for keeping the baby why can't a guy have a say in the decision if they went the other route.
I certainly hope the woman would have a support system and family and friends are great but if someone was halfway responsible for me making this decision I certainly want a conversation at minimum and support.
Ultimately the woman would have the final decision but the man should be informed and is entitled to a conversation whether his decision is for or against the final decision the mother makes.

Most people don't actually have the "whenever for whatever reason" attitude (that I have); most "pro-choice" ideology actually means "before the third trimester" or something silly because people are unwilling to commit to the viewpoint and weakly define life as something that miraculously happens at a particular point
this shows the extreme disrespect and disregard society has for women. not caring about what she wants, her feelings. what going through this process would do to her mentally and physically. only caring about yourself, about a potential child that isn't even related to you, all because you feel like some kind of moral gatekeeper who was sent to the earth to police everyone else's decisions

If the woman isn't ready to be a mother, then she probably isn't in a stable relationship anyway and will maybe be forced to live and provide as a single parent. As MANY mothers do.

I don't personally care about the technical definitions of life and the lack thereof; no woman should have an obligation to carry any other creature in them for nine months and give birth if she does not want to, and that is ultimately where it ends for me.

I'm not going to force any force any women to carry a child that she doesn't want, but I won't support their decision if they want to do abortion either.
In my POV, a fetus is a living being and that is it. Just because it doesn't have a conscious mind of its own, doesn't mean that killing it is okay.
But I have a question though, going off-tangent a bit. Why is it that if a pregnant woman is killed in certain states/countries it's counted as a double homicide? I thought they don't classify the foetus as a life until it's actually born? That's always confused me

Depends on how far along the woman was in her pregnancy. It's after 20 weeks or so, that the fetus is deemed viable and can't (except in dire circumstances) be aborted. That's probably why the police declare it a double homicide.

it's going to not be a good situation either way honey bun. going through an abortion is not easy. but being forced to go through a pregnancy you do not want is also not easy. I am a woman btw so don't get an attitude with me. The point is that men do not own or have control over women. Women live independently of men. Women make their own decisions. Women are not stupid, women do not need men to decide for us.

(I believe) it's very rare that an abortion has that much of a significant and lasting adverse effect on a females mental health, ESPECIALLY in comparison to the mental harm she would have suffered having a child when she's not prepared.
ALSO, there is NO contraceptive method bar abstinence that is 100% effective so that point is moot.

Men are just as equally guilty of doing the same in regards to having sex without thought for consequnces and they are always let off the hook when they get a woman pregnant.
