Basically, unless you're invested in the game enough that buying new boxes of upcoming sets is a cost you can afford. Most players are able to afford it by doing Sneak Peaks, Regionals, YCS, and having trade bait to keep up with the constant banlist and metagame changes consistently.
It's a very expensive hobby to have unless you have some luck in pulling good cards and have excellent trading skills. I owned the original Lightsworn deck in their full rarity and it sold for like around 1000 USD and I basically traded for the whole deck in bits.
when the antagonists attack the main cast whines about getting hurt and stuff but when they attack no one cares or they even make a fun out of it
