Lbr we know Katy and Bonnie must drag each other all the time jokingly. Gloria experienced that but she just don't have the humor to get it.

It's either VMAs or AMAs. I dont think she would choose to debut her lead single @ the EMAs(because the US don't care about It) or other irrelevant awards show like Teen Choice or sth
You know why they signed her known as damaged goods in the industry, having a plan no other label believed in? Capitol's previous #1 album was McHammer - Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em (1990) and they couldn't afford to celebrate 20 years of no having seen a proper #1 album. They had to try something radical, something no other label would dare by trying out what would happen if she does her thing. TD album went #1 just in time to celebrate for proper #1 album in 20 years.
dd Coldplay gave them like 5 #1 albums in the 2000's I'm sure there were others. Capitol was doing fine but Katy is definitely their top artist now
