15. Kanye West “Heartless”
Moving on with the list is the rapper which we kinda hate at the VMA's last year and that is Kanye West. Before that incident, Kanye managed to deliver a great song that can be remembered in the next years and I'm referring to
Heartless. Yes, this song is the best song from Kanye West's 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak. The cartoon music video is entertaining enough for me to like this song so much. It even showed a scene where anime Kanye West is singing in the wall with the portraits of the Jetsons characters. The lyrics are good, good enough to be singable track especially the chorus part
"In the night I hear 'em talk the coldest story ever told. Somewhere far along this road he lost his soul to a woman so heartless". The Fray and even latest American Idol winner Kris Allen also had a mellow rendition of this song, it is good but nothing beats the original.
Heartless spent a long time in my countdown and even peaked at the top spot, so it's not surprise if you see this song so high in my list.

14. Ciara feat. Justin Timberlake “Love Sex Magic”
One of the most interesting collaborations last year is the team up for Ciara with pop prince Justin Timberlake for
Love Sex Magic. Like what I stated in my albums list,
Love Sex Magic is the song which makes me appreciate Ciara even more. She may have memorable hits like
Goodies and
1,2 Step but this single adds to the list of her signature hits. Two word can be described to this track; flirt and sexy. It is flit because the lines of the songs really meant to seduce someone, it is shown on the line
"And I’ll be flowing and going till clothing disappears, ain’t nothing but shoes on me, Oh baby". It is sexy because it is accompanied by a hot and sexy video. You can see Ciara and Justin flirting with each other and almost want to make a scene. The dance scene is my favorite part where the color effects are just good. No matter you like this or not, a hit or a wasted hit or not, it became my favorite jam at some point last year. Let's just hope Ciara will be more appreciated with this kind of songs because it is definitely one of the best.

13. James Morrison feat. Nelly Furtado “Broken Strings”
Another collaboration that I did not expect to love is
Broken Strings by James Morrison and Nelly Furtado. At first I really ignored this song thinking that James Morrison is just a James Blunt wannabe. Things changed when I actually try to listen to
Broken Strings, both of their vocals blend with each other. Adding a Nelly Furtado to a song makes it even an interesting song to listen to.
Broken Strings is such a great ballad, it talks about a relationship that is not meant to be. The memorial line
"Let me hold you for the last time It's the last chance to feel again" simply sums up the meaning of the song. This song got popular especially here, it peaked at the top spot for weeks in different charts influencing me to love it even more. It also did well in my charts spending two weeks at the top spot and stayed for about four months. James Morrison and Nelly Furtado should do more collaborations like this song, it ever that happens I bet it will become another hit.
