damn I can't at the hate, this album is a masterpiece - you don't need to be black to understand that

black history and black culture and black women are powerful, interesting, beautiful - they can be appreciated by everyone, I'm white and I love seeing the world through her eyes and understanding her experiences as a black woman

it's growth and its beautiful. just because she didn't start out releasing a bag of mixed genres like LEMONADE doesn't mean she can't do that now or that it's bad that she is. She could have very well grown in a different direction.

Like she did from 4 to ST.

ST was clearly different from her previous works, it was more mature, more serious, had a darker tone and adressed themes she hadn t touched before, but it was still loyal to her sassy and sexual diva persona, which she has always been.

I m sorry but I m not joining the bandwagon. It is nowhere near her best album. Not even 2nd or 3rd.

This. I mean she could have released DIL, B'Day or IASF part 2.0., 3.0., 4.0. etc. easily if she wanted to. But she is growing as human and growing as artist. This is just the phase she is in in her life and her music should reflect the artist behind the music. music is an outlet for Bey. I am very proud to witness such greatness, and I am not even saying this from a stan point of view but as the point of view of a music lover. Music is art, and in a lot of cases art is a reflection of the soul. LEMONADE fits that.

I m not hating it, I m just disappointed

And I agree that black women are extremly beautiful and I do love watching them too but I don t think that s where the film is trying to get.

If people can respect your opinion, the least you could do is respect theirs. There is no bandwagon happening, some people don't consider it her best, some do, some hate it (Mrs Unruly for example), some love it, nothing deeper. You don't have to treat different opinions than yours with contempt and anger.

LEMONADE is actually a very honest follow up to Selftitled. Selftitled basically was the full circle moment and LEMONADE is the next phase of that. Each their own though.

I've been thinking about Forward, which is actually such a poetic and thematic highlight for me on the album

I think that James Blake is playing the role of god, he comes to her, telling her she needs to start moving forwards and begin forgiving, towards the end of the song she understands and joins in, listening to what that voice is telling her signifying her agreement and sort of having a inner peace

I don't who or what this Becky is but that part of the song is the best thing on the album, especially the second time she sings it. I love the tempo change on 'Sorry' and I love that it lasts more than 20 seconds...it makes the song so much better and I think Sorry would get boring if it was the same for all 3+ minutes.

Can someone please explain the good hair reference I'm unsure of what she exactly means.
