I agree; I get that sometimes it can be hard to support your faves but stuff like that is kind of petty.

so which song is going to serve as the Start Over, Disappear, Superpower, etc - a skipped performance tea?
i think its going to be Love Drought, as much as its one of my faves, I don't see how this song is going to translate live.

I really thought Beyoncé was better than this. I don't understand why she keeps showing her movie on TV if she didn't want people to access it on a bigger platform. This is something she would have never done before Tidal came along.
It's so weird too because she took so much pride last time in how much she sold first week. I am pissed.
But then again, the Beyhive deserves a 460 fade dragging and it's coming.

Same, but LOVE DROUGHT would overall make a good interlude song if she is not gonna use it. I could see Forward getting a similair threatment. With her possibly performing Sandcastles and then she walks off stage and you see it ending with Foward with a tour interlude/video.
If she would do the other 10 songs and would choose songs from her discography with a similair or complimentary theme, I would be very happy.

I don't think she's gonna do Love Drought and Sandcastles. They're not live material. Pray You Catch Me and Forward are gonna be interludes, probably.

This album is the best thing ever. I know I'm crazy, but I do kind of wish I could sit through the wait again to experience the album the first time once more

Bey's ability to make people so bitter is incredibly entertaining

Red light special, undress me under the candle light
Turnt up in this business, watch me do all of them things you like
I'm ready to go, ready to blow like Grammy night
In the back of that limousine, Billy Bob and Angeline
All you gotta do, is say the word
And I'll be right there on ya
All you gotta do, is say the word
And I'll be right there for ya
Do this while I do that, we like "good, true that"
Come baby be you, get on it while I see you
Turnt up, all the way to the ceiling
Burnt up, till you ain’t got no feeling
On my phone like Siri, talkin bout you gon kill it
Beat it up, until I black out; cash up, boy

****, Lemonade is a grower for me and it was initially my favorite Bey album. It's just getting better and better.

She ****ed up big time. She killed her era already. Putting it on Tidal for 1 or 2 days was bad enough, but it staying on there only, so stupid. Her last album being a ITunes exclusive, what a come down.

Aslong as I get my CD/DVD (hopefully this week) and a Vinyl down the line. I don't mind whatever happens. It would be sad though.

Am I the only one who doesn t quite like it?
I m dissapointed.
This type of music is not the tea.
Also, I m not black so I didnt get much from the movie, which everyone calls ^amazing visuals^
Self Titled stays unbothered.

You don't have to be black to get the overall message from the movie

Idk there is just too many scenes featuring black people which seem to make a refference to black culture and history and I was honestly bored to death durring the whole movie

Then listen only to the album. If that's not your taste either, you'll just have to sit this one out like I did when she release IASF. Although I did have the Sasha side and Disappear to hold me over.
And it was also an exciting era, we had live performances, interviews etc.
But maybe you'll enjoy the tour and the live renditions of the songs will speak more to you.

I did listen to the album. And I didn t enjoy a single song except Formation which I ve been bopping to for months.
This album lacks the... it lacks Beyonce herself.
It s definitely not the type of music which made her succesfull, not the type of music which got her millions of dollars, not the type of music which brought her millions of fans, not the type of music which made yall stan for her.
It s just not... enjoyable. It s bland. And not in a good way.
And I doubt she ll go back to RnB in the future and serve songs like CIL, UU, LOT and Blow

it's growth and its beautiful. just because she didn't start out releasing a bag of mixed genres like LEMONADE doesn't mean she can't do that now or that it's bad that she is. I wouldn't adore her nearly as much as I do now if she wasn't an artist that aspired for change and growth. where's the fun in listening to the same kind of bops all the time? if anything this album feels the most like her because she placed herself practically bare on a blank slate and you can evidently hear all of her raw and true emotions on every song.

I disagree completely. It IS the music that made her millions of fans, it is the music that made her Beyoncé. Outside from a rock and a country song, the rest is fundamentally Beyoncé. If you can not recognize it sonically, you can at least recognize that it is in content.
The album is the continuation to ST and B'Day but more mature, more experimental and more accomplished: Sorry is Jealous's sister, Don't Hold your Breath is Ring The Alarm's sister, Pray You Catch Me is PH and Mine's big and better sister, It even starts the same way as Mine, etc. The album is not that dissonant from her pass releases. The difference is that there are no hit bangers in it and a big pop ballad in the middle (Halo, XO).
Like I said, just sit this one out. At least you have Formation.
