Japanese fans are speculating that Mokuroh is the Grass starter because moku (木) is Jap for wood or tree, Ashimari is the Water stater because ashika (海驢) means sea lion, and mari (鞠) means ball (or short for marine), and that Nyabby is a cat Fire starter, presumable because nyah + tabby. Could also have bi (火) meaning fire.
Marshadow is who knows. Marshal shadow? Marsh shadow? Marshmallow shadow?
Of course, all of this is just blind speculation based on their names alone.

People say the Marshadow might be Mars based.

The grass starter could be an owl Moku (wood) + fukuro (owl) and 2 months ago or so half of an owl grass starter leaked on 2ch ( might actually be legit)

So Grass Owl, Fire Cat, Water Seal?

Grass/Flying isn't a good typing at all. An Owl with it could be cute, though.

Felines are almost always bland and boring. I don't think GameFreak would make it pure Fire, so maybe there's still some hope!

Is there any animal they haven't made as a pokemon yet? The designs are getting lazier and lazier and they're already overusing like we already have like 10 different pokemon birds and many of them are so damn alike, same for some grass types based on flowers.

Spheal is a seal, the starter is a Sea Lion. Not the same thing (did you complain about Fennekin being literally a Vulpix too)

And the cat could be a Tabby cat (well the name implies it) aka a cat with stripes which could mean Tiger as last stage. And that definitely slays. ANd hopefully means the end for bipedal fire starters. i am sick of them.

Oh yes, a tiger would definitely be cool. If they make it bipedal they can ****ing keep it, though, like you said.
What would a tiger have as an additional typing, tho?

And bye. Maybe they'll make it a purple ball instead of a blue one to make it less obvious at least.
