Ryan won't happen, and that would likely be loss for the presidential bid if he did. Kasich is terrible, but he looks good because the media doesn't care about him and he hasn't been properly vetted. The things you say, your personal beliefs and your experience matter to me if you're running for president. While Senator Cruz is more conservative than Trump, he does have the political and legislative experience to be President. If a pipe breaks in my house, I will most likely call a plumber, not a dentist. That's one of the main reasons I've been slamming Carson in the race from the very beginning.

Being a Senator for several years and working for the Supreme Court is more than likely enough for you to be able to take on the executive authority and inevitable obstacles that come along while being president, it is more than likely enough for you to make the decisions needed (while we might not agree with all of them) to assure prosperity and keep the country and the rest of the world secure. I don't think Trump's back-and-forth flip-flopping, lack of personal knowledge on the issues, "I promise you'll be sick of winning" proposals will do the country or the world any good. In fact, I believe he has potential to be the most harmful and destructive POTUS in history. While I do think Senator Cruz would be a terrible president as well, he does know what he's doing. I just don't happen to agree with everything he would do.

Nah the gist of it is: I think Bernard has simply not been vetted at all. Despite what he says, he got into this race as a protest candidate. There will be stuff out there about Bernie that will come out in a GE.

Whatever you say about Hill, the woman has been vetted. Bernie is the huge risk IMO.

And with regards to the GOP, Cruz is winning at a contested convention and that's all there is to it. Trump ain't running third party.

If none of the three candidates receive enough delegates to get the nomination (there's a certain figure one of them needs to cross), Republican delegates will be released from their candidates and they will go on to pick whoever they want to get the nomination. Yes, I don't think it's ethical at all if they were to pick anybody else but Trump.

(The process itself is a bit more complicated and detailed, but I think you wanted the general idea.)
