Would he want the job? He doesn't seem like a guy itching to climb the ladder.
Word is out that he is. When questioned by multiple people in the press about being in the running for the VP slot, he avoid giving any type of definitive answer.

"I'll tell you what I consider every day, and that's I've got 309 days left until the weekend," Perez said, referring to the number of days left in President Barack Obama's term.
Pressed again and again, Perez continued to deflect, saying it's "an unmitigated privilege to help people get back on their feet every day," and, "I have one focus right now and that is my day job, and I love my day job."
He also denied he was counting down the days to his next act -- possibly with Clinton.
"Muhammad Ali said you don't count the days, you make the days count," he said.
Perez spent much of the conversation arguing the U.S. economy is on the rebound thanks to the efforts of the Obama administration -- and gave a preview of his possible campaign mode in slamming Republicans.

This is genius. I've seen so many people say they won't vote in Bernie's favor because he's a socialist. Spoken to two co-workers who have stated such. And it's like, where do you live again? lol. We are a social democracy.

There's a big difference between the current status of America and what Bernie wants (and what many of us believe wouldn't work here in the States as it does in Europe).

Social Democracy and Socialism are very different, though...
America is afraid of a socialist GOVERNMENT. I don't care what Bernie calls himself. Anyone that reviews his policies and ideas knows that he is a socialist, period. He's been an independent all his life and decided to run as a democrat to have a platform for his campaign to stand on. I was at a Hillary rally yesterday. A senator, congressman and two county executives spoke. Each of them made it clear to include the fact that Hillary is the "true" democrat running--something most democrats expect to see from there candidate.
I would also low-key like it if she chose someone under the radar that none of us would suspect too. But like BOBW said, it wouldn't help with battleground states.

What's the difference?

Bernie doesn't want to turn America into a socialist government. STOP SAYING THIS
America IS capitalism and I fear as though socialism would bring even more divisiveness to the country than there already is. I also believe that the middle class would be the most affected by an obviously severe tax hike.
