Taylor's album is actually quite underproduced. Everything sounds so limp and watery and there's so little to distract from the unpleasant vocals.

I don't like the word "overproduced" but there are songs that deff have too much clutter in the production. The only example I can think of offhand is one that most people won't agree with me on: Pink's Who Knew. The song is trying to sound like some poignant, spare ballad but the production is so overbearing that it kind of ruins the effect and it just sounds like they're trying to throw everything at it to see what sticks.

I don't like that term either. Generally I'm a more-is-more type of guy when it comes to production and arrangements anyhow. (That's why I love the Golden Echo!!)

I honestly had no idea anyone liked Run the World (Girls). It's so horrible. Worse than anything on Sasha Fierce.

I tend to prefer maximalist production styles, but I think really depends on what an artist is going for.

Lana's whole Born to Die album is also overproduced. All those annoying samples in the background

I just hope it's better than 4.

Run the World is my jam (and many people in my high school at the time). I had no idea people really hated it until I came to ATRL last year.

It's my fave in the whole series.

At least a lil bit of that probably comes from the fact that the lead is like ridiculously cute, but I think, objectively speaking, it's the best film too.
