I kinda hate the whole age pronouns & "respect the older" thing in Asian cultures where you'd call a person who's older than you differently than someone who's younger like, most of the time I always gotta ask or find out myself about a person's age to use the correct one when it comes to those that are in their 20s, like it's not just the simple "you" & "me" for everyone in English. Like for example, some people at my workplace really start to have that "attitude" when they find out that they're older than me and they would start speaking to me differently, acting like they're above me just because they're older.
