So.. I don't know if any of y'all are interested in Hyrule Warriors Legends being out tomorrow, but I got the game today, so I'll share a few things
spoiler
The Story Mode starts with the same story as HW on Wii. I assume the extra story comes afterwards
During the battles, the game plays more like Samurai Warriors Chronicles / SW4 does; in that you can control various characters during the battle
Stage 1 - You start with Link, and then control Zelda, and then can control Impa
After Stage 1 you unlock the other modes; you can use Link, Zelda and Impa
Stage 2 - You start with Link and Impa (you choose one as the main character but control both by clicking their portrait on the bottom screen). You also get to use Sheik near the end of the stage.
Stage 3 - Surprisingly you don't get to control Lana. It's just the three regular ones - Link / Impa / Sheik - from the start. You also get a new item in this stage; the Ocarina; which allows you to transport to activated owl statues within a few seconds. Quite useful I guess.
Upon beating Stage 3 you unlock both Lana and Linkle...
Stage 3 then branches off. The regular Stage 4 (Valley of Seers) or one above Stage 3 which marks the start of Linkle's tale (also at Faron Woods)
Some new side missions appear during the old stages
If ANY of the characters you can control in the stages die, you lose, so you have to switch between them if they come across strong enemies I guess
EDIT: one small thing I noticed. In the Training Dojo, it now shows the strength of each character. At Lv10, the strengths of the five so far are:
Link - 100
Impa - 102
Sheik - 98
Lana - 100
Linkle - 98
I really appreciate that addition tbh. Quite nice to see.
That's all I got so far. I really hope I don't have to do adventure mode to unlock Ruto / Agitha / Zant / Girahim this time around. I'll update on DLC tomorrow because I intend to see what that's about. (PS, my game came with a code to get the 5 new characters + trident for Ganondorf on the Wii version).
