I told you Ashley's song was that good. Despite Mixi, Angelica and dominating 2009...Ashley still held her own.

20. Jazmin & Adam Binder - Tourmaline
He is a young musician looking to get his music out there. She is a young musician also looking to do the same. They teamed up for their first song each on the countdown with Tourmaline. This was their breakout songs and this 5 minute gem is worth the listen http://www.myspace.com/jazminsmusicpage http://www.myspace.com/adambinder This got to #3 on the countdown and was the leader at one point on the points chart, but not good enough, settles for #20.


19. MGMT - Kids
Quite possibly the most surprising song in this top 20. They barely made an impact with their first 2 songs, and are #19 on this year-end chart. This rocking duo made their presence felt last year and it carried over into 2009 and boy did they come out strong. Their 3rd single Kids was an instant hit and showed us how they could do it. 18. Elisa Jordana - Young Love
You would think Elisa would have the inside track to finish in the top 5 on the endchart, you are dead-wrong. Elisa struggled down the stretch and hurt her chances to finish the top 10...she is however #18 here. She had been on top of the pts chart and has also peaked at #2. Solid efforts from Elisa, hoping 2010 is better.


17. Katy Perry - Thinking Of You
If Katy is the future of pop music, you may be on to something. Katy has done a lot of damage already with 4 top 20 hits on the MWC including this top 10 smash Thinking Of You. Katy has to be considered one of the best artists in the last 3 years, no doubt about it.


16. Ryan Star - Last Train Home
Ryan was one of the get to knows in 2008, and he winds up #16 for 2009. What a difference a year makes. He took it to the next level this year and looks to ride the 2010 wave.

Angelica Rose reserves her spot here in the top 20 twice...both these went to #1.


13. Metallica - All Nightmare Long
Metallica is the class of the rock circuit, period. Metallica has been rocking it for about 25 years now or close to. And they just get stronger and stronger. This got into the top 5 and stayed on for months. Was a monster hit. They finished top 40 in 2008.


12. Coldplay - Life In Technicolor II
It's not a shock this song would be the most successful of Coldplay's songs in 2009. It is a shock that it's #12. This was a #1 hit for the boys from the UK and remained a solid hit for these guys giving them their 4th #1 on the chart. An impressive feat.


11. Britt Nicole - The Lost Get Found
You'd almost knew that this would be so high on the year-end. She remained in the top 20 until the end of the year and eventually hit #1 on the last chart of 2009 after a LONG wait....and a physical battle with Angelica Rose. Britt finished 7th last year and 11th this year, very very impressive for a 2-year period.
