Why are people against the Voter ID law when U.S. Citizens shouldn't be walking around without Government issue identification cards unless I'm misunderstanding and the NC voter ID law is a actual voting ID
I was wondering the same thing. It's confusing as to why people do not have an ID on them. Could someone clarify why this is such an issue?

Voter ID laws have the potential to deny the right to vote to thousands of registered voters who do not have, and, in many instances, cannot obtain the limited identification states accept for voting. Many of these Americans cannot afford to pay for the required documents needed to secure a government-issued photo ID. As such, these laws impede access to the polls and are at odds with the fundamental right to vote.
Quote:
VOTER ID LAWS ARE DISCRIMINATORY
*Voter ID laws have a disproportionate and unfair impact on low-income individuals, racial and ethnic minority voters, students, senior citizens, voters with disabilities and others who do not have a government-issued ID or the money to acquire one.
*The Supreme Court has held that a state cannot value one person’s vote over another and that is exactly what these laws do. *Research shows that 11% of US citizens – or more than 21 million Americans -- do not have government-issued photo identification.
*As many as 25% of African American citizens of voting age do not have a government-issued photo ID, compared to only 8% of their white counterparts.
*18% of Americans over the age of 65 (or 6 million senior citizens) do not have a government-issued photo ID.
*In 2008, it was widely reported that Indiana’s voter ID law disfranchised 12 nuns who were trying to vote in the primary election. The nuns were all over 80 years old, all had a history of voting in past elections, and none of them drove. Their limited mobility made it difficult for them to get an ID.
According to analytics, best case scenario is Bernie loses by 26 net delegates tonight. Best case scenario for Hillary is she wins by 140 net delegates.
Hillary said last night she's had 600,000 more votes than Trump so far and 1.6 million more votes than Bernie.
Which means Trump has had 1 million more votes than Bernie so far.
The little Berknees need a reality check. If you vote for Bernie now then it's essentially a vote for Trump in the general.
There's no logic in this post. Hillary is very strong in the South which is why she has so many more votes than everyone. There's a lot more Republicans running which causes the votes to be dispersed between more candidates.

I never thought I'd see it come down to such obvious common-sense explanations

You'd be surprised how many people leave their houses regularly without ID if they even have any to begin with. It's something I've never understood considering my wallet and phone are the first things along with keys I make sure I have on my person at all times. I live and work in a predominantly black community and not that it means anything per se there is a definite correlation to who I encounter with this issue the most

Also walking and driving around with expired U.S. issued identification is illegal and you are fine (given a ticket) so the Voter ID law seems legit for that reason alone. The reports of those being turned away in NC seems to be college students and young adults there is literally no excuse for them to be walking around unidentified
I'm home from work Finally!! Let's go Hillary! I shared a FB post Hillary posted about Turn up and Turn Out NC and only 1 friend liked it
My flop friends love Bernie...
Ready for Hillary to end this!
Most of my friends love Bernie and always come after me with anti-Hillary articles that are always from awful sources... One tried to say that Hillary physically abused Bill in the White House during he 90s.
This makes no sense considering you are fine for walking around with a expired U.S. Identification, banks for example don't let you cash your check if your ID is expired, I personally know people who got turned away at night club because their license was expired all tho they are of age because it's illegal to carry expired Identification
