What pisses me off is that she acts like she's suddenly above it or that her newer material is somehow superior to her older stuff and that's delving into new territory when the only reason her era is not a hilarious failure is a completely label manufactured pop song with some slight dancehall elements thrown into production.

She doesn't act like she's above it. She performed Only Girl/WMN/S&M on her last tour (DWT), but I'm sure she doesn't want to be performing those tracks forever and she doesn't have to. I can understand if those were her only #1s but she has so many that it makes sense for her to ignore S&M and Only Girl. She literally only ignored the tracks from LOUD. She still is out there doing Umbrella and stuff.
I think you think that she doesn't like Pop music anymore, and even if that's the case, so be it. Artists are supposed to grow. This chick has 8 studio albums and this album is promoting her 8th album.

I feel like a lot of y'all want 2009-2012 back when Dance music was dominating and I understand that, but chill.
