I have a family history of diabetes, so I thought I'd take illegal substances for it, while making candy for kids to get diabetes. Shovel, dig, shovel, dig.
It sounds like she's innocent in the whole time - she had been prescribed medication that goes by an alternate name and she didn't know it was a banned substance, and it hadn't been until recently.
She remains a legend. And I really doubt it would have meant much to her tennis career.
At least she was brave enough to step out and announce it in front of the world. Legend. Talent.
I'll see the ban as another shoulder injury Perched to see what her level will be when she comes back
The FDA hasn't approved for use the drug she says her family doctor prescribed... but she's been living in the United States for more than a decade, no?

I love you Maria #SharaFamily
Lol. Of course she held a press conference. The news would have come out; she wanted to put her little version out there first.
At least she was brave enough to step out and announce it in front of the world.
This. This is one of the reasons I really like her. She made a mistake and she knows she must pay for it. Indeed she took full responsibility for it without even requesting to test the B sample.
I hope she'll be given a second chance. Nevertheless she's still going to be a legend of this sport.
