Gintama has some of the best characters in anime, and some very unique characters.

it's so funny and has some of the best serious arcs anime could offer

Owari is sort of messy and basic overall, but I enjoyed it very much still. Season 2 was much better than season 1.

@sunny don't watch the openings until you finished their respective season. They spoil a lot.
