so what when this song plays on the radio every morning, white people should sit in silence? Rihanna made a catchy song and put it on iTunes. People are gonna enjoy it, celebrate it, and cover it. It doesn't need to be spun into some deeper rhetoric of RACISM!!!!

People are just losers and NEED something to be offended by in order to have some sort of validity to their lives. Rihanna herself would tell you that Work is just a song for everyone to enjoy and that there's no deep meaning behind the lyrics. I can guarantee that whether or not the covers suck, people who are actually from the Caribbean would have no problem hearing a white person sing along to it.

God, why do you want to offer up a suitable critique of a worthiness of a song derived from a culture you have no and will never have any association with? What do you really aim to get from that? Enjoy it for what it is, but don't you dare tell a person who shares a cultural connection to that song how they must react to it or its worthiness.
