Just be happy with the #1 That is most likely the only thing that will come from this era.

Drake had two #1 hits. Both were Rihanna songs. I don't say Drake didn't help this song but saying he is the only reason it hit #1 is really dumb. Let's face it, Rihanna is the biggest hit maker of the decade. 14 #1s prove that.
Also this song is a dancehall song. Not like dancehall-inspired (like Sorry), actually dancehall. That's a very risky move. It could've backfired HARD. I still see a lot of people making racist remarks about Rihanna just because she is no longer "white" enough for people to like her because she doesn't deny the Barbadian influences. If you said Diamonds or The Monster were safe #1s i would more or less agree, but Work was as big of a risk as releasing a folk song featuring a rapper that is singing and a living legend as the lead single. Oh wait she did that too.
Rihanna was NEVER an album seller. She never tried to be either. Rihanna knows what she is doing: being the biggest singles artist of this generation.
So go ahead, drag her. I mean she has an #1 single, album (AFTER she gave it away for free), one of the most streamed songs in a day of all time, #1 on itunes with an almost 50% lead, huge airplay gains including on Urban, all of that with a dancehall song. And remember this is still her "flop" era.
