I am actually sad at how terrible this performance is. I have been saying for a while that Adele's losing power and her vocals are overrated... but at the end of the day I like her, so this is just sad for me...
Just because we're pointing out that this performance was bad doesn't mean we're hating It was just a bad performance, plain and simple. She was a pitchy mess throughout (the "last" notes in the chorus were comedically flat) and the last chorus got the better of her. I don't BLAME her for it and I don't think it accurately represents her talent since she was nervous and thrown off by the wonky piano strings, but this was a bad performance, period.

The guitar doesn't even sound that bad considering it was for a whole 'nother song of a different genre. Granted I never heard the song before so I didn't have an expectations.
The overreaction is real I expected something a lot worse, the performance was flawless, sans that 1 moment her voice shaked + the other thing that wasn't her fault.
I am so mad that they ****ed it up tho, because if the effect was so positive after this messy one, imagine if she performed it the same way she did at that NBC special

go watch the carpool karaoke vid or radio city music hall vids, or why not clips from Concert at wiltern theatre from 3 days before the grammys and see if you still think her vocals are getting worse or she's screaming at high notes
