it's a tough situation, but i think he just needs to wait, because people won't give him crap about it in college. i know that's hard for a high school student to swallow (trust me, i hated hearing that when i was younger) but he has to understand that once high school is over, he has way more options. and when he's an adult, he'll be fine and just look back on high school and shudder (i mean, that's what i do :I). it's not worth killing himself over, and there are ways to make waiting for it easier.
