What will happen if we don't have a full Supreme Court before the election? My APUSH class was watching Rachel Maddow this morning and she was explaining it but we didn't have time to finish her show Obviously a tie is extremely unlikely to happen but what exactly will happen if we do have one?

More than two weeks later, are you guys still under the impression that her 0.3% win in Iowa was perceived as a win? The amount of hype and momentum it generated for Sanders' campaign made it at least a virtual true if not even a slight win for him.

You know the concept of key states very damn well, I don't know why you're ignoring it and sticking with the 0.3% win technicality. Only biased people really care about that poor figure.

There is definitely a difference between what happened and what would have happened if Bernie had won. If she had gotten 0.3% less than Bernie, the public perception and media coverage would have been drastically different.

I agree, then all media outlets would say it was a virtual tie (if not a win for Clinton because of the overdone demigraohics excuse). Yet the public perception would still be in favor of Sanders, he's not a prominent political figure, he needs key states to even get people to know him.

That's why I always felt weird about Bush being ignored. The establishment is wasting their time with Rubio like he's not that good. They just like him because he's Hispanic and he could have challenged Hill (who the republicans expected to win her nomination) in November

You tried pushing that during NH and it didn't happen. It also wouldn't have happened if Bernie had won IA. Putting states in your column is extremely important, even moreso than the actual size of your win because it soothes the superdelegates of the state. Also if you're drawing close in every state but losing you can't make the case you're electable. There's no "virtual tie" during the general election. You either win or you don't. Al Gore found that out in 2000

Repubs def hate Obama maybe even more than they hate the Clintons....I actually think Obama's comments on Trump were a tactical move by the White House to sort of give Trump a boost in SC. The Dems would much rather face Tump in the general than Rubio who is seen as more 'moderate' and more appealing to the general electorate. Not just that, but as long as Trump is the frontrunner, the Dems can paint the whole Repub party as disparaging and non-inclusive to minorities.
