Katy needs to stick to her child-oriented approach. Its too late for to become a seriuos artist. I'm not here for an artistic project: it would mean an even lower metacritic score, a huge backlash for its underperformance and she would become a laughing stock.
Its her moment to cement herself as female Flo-Rida. Its nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone else is flopping or tyrina be artistic/pretentious. That when she needs to weigh in with the dance bops.

Yeah Katy has spent too much of her career being the jester of pop to ever be taken seriously as an artist. She should avoid making try-hard critic bait because it'll still get panned and it would be such an embarrassing backfire
With that being said though she can't keep the TD persona forever since she's starting to look a bit like a hag now. To be honest I think this era is her last chance at a big era before she gets too old and pop music tosses her aside (I hope she proves me wrong though). She better not screw it up

She needs to release a Luke/Max produced single in May/June. We need another summer smash. The GP will eat it up.

She already had one, Female MJ, but the Monsters spammed it and got it warnable I think. Legend is Christina (Legend X).

Literally a massive no to all of this. She's had a huge career but she's only had three albums, of course it's not too late to change. If she's really in it for the long haul, that's not "too late" to make a change. Actually I'd argue that a change is exactly what she needs right about now.

I disagree. She can still be radio-friendly without having been labelled as childish. She's in her 30s. She just needs more bops like Dark Horse and E.T. and she will do just fine. If she continues to make the same type of songs, she will probably flop hard and the GP will lose interest and the critics will drag her even more, thus becoming an actual laughing stock. Flop with dignity>>>>

I think we call her the female MJ, pretty much every single Kat has used that at least once at a certain moment
And regarding her future sound/music: she should go the Walking On Air/ Every Day is a Holiday route. It's still fun, catch, dancy and joyfull but more mature and a little more sexual in a way. I think it's the natural progression in her music career. Bring that dance album Katy!!

I kinda loved the orchestral version of her hits she used for those private performances during the summer, I think she should go in that direction for the next album
Dance music with strings incorporated into them (kinda like Clean Bandit's Rather Be) would sound great, it'd be a natural evolution to her sound without completely shunning commercial music

Yes @ RoarRiteNow with the Orchestral arrangements. They were fantastic. Apart from Teenage Dream, that was tragic. The rest were great though.
Doing a Clean Bandit type sound would be phenomenal. Much better than the Duke Dumont trash a lot of Kats care about. His music is literally the definition of quick hits which are cool in the moment but have no lasting impact and are completely forgotten in 6 months. It's like you want her to flop.

Kats, stop bashing Katy for pettiest reasions. We already have two major stanbases that hate our fave with passion so there's no reason to add insult to injury considering she gets enough of that on daily basis without our contributions.
