I mean. It started out promising. I liked the visuals and allusion to Charles Manson and The Family. I was honestly hopeful for this to serve me something from Born To Die/Paradise.
Her videos have been lazy since Ultraviolence though. MTWBT was promising, but idk why she doesn't wanna go to the cinematic masterpieces she was serving before.
You can't use "this is her vision" to defend something that is boring.
Why do I even expect anything from her anymore? we waited months for this? it was HORRIBLE, boring and a waste of 10 minutes that I will never get back. Love her music but her visuals have gone so far downhill its sad. Let me remove her from my sig tbh.
It was beautiful and the first 5 minutes were perfect. But it should have ended where the song ended, adding those underwater scenes were unnecessary in my opinion (stunning shots, but still).
