Chart News: HDD finals(SPS): Anti #1 172k, 25 #2 113k

I dont really get the hate that a certain fanbase is spreading on here, Rihanna is no Taylor or Adele, she has never been a strong first week seller, and her best openning was like 240k so why would she be doing 500 k now? The numbers she is pulling right now are more than good, since they are coming just from itunes and her single sales, anti is doing waaay better digitally than unapologetic, not to mention that she didnt have to release 15452131512 videos with her album to back it up and make people wanna buy it.
And can the hive calm their asses down?? like for real? it not like BEYONCE has pulled adele or taylor numbers... the album has yet to cross the 4 millions mark, which Unapologetic crossed ages ago, the difference is that Rihanna has LONGEVITY and HITS ( a thing that beyonce is dreaming to have...) so she will do fine in the long run, work is heading to #1 on the hot for sure and is expected to be a big crossover radio hit, plus other singles that will mantain the album on the charts, so i think it better if we discuss about the album's success at the end of the era cz that all that'll matter.
Aw and i forgot to mention that anti is ..................................... PLATINIUM with well over 1 million copies sold to samsung that all that matters to rih, she got her coins and got yall pressed like an orange.

Una has not passed 4 million, like wtf!

Rihanna, again, appeals to a lot less wide of an audience due to actually being cool and not marketed at children and/or adult album buyers. Unapologetic also did less than Anti in its opening week digital sales (~110K).
This will be written off as an excuse.
Anti is platinum.

People would have bought BEYONCÉ with or without the videos sweetheart. She didn't need to do that but she tried something different and managed to deliver a project that was so bold and deemed impossible due to leaks and stuff.... she just made sure her release was something special by working her behind off on making it visual. Had it flopped, the embarassement due to the effort she put in it would have been enormous and she knew that.... she took the risk.
The album crossed the 4M mark and spawn hits (Drunk reached #2, as you know very well). Urban hits such as Partition and Flawless, 7/11 reached #13 on the HOT 100 as well. Bare in mind that he ONLY single she pushed on pop was XO and with no radio deal and not a single promo performance for it in the US.
We all know dam well how much she couldn't care less for hit singles nowadays by the way she handles her releases... she's barely tries it and is still getting them hits Ain't no reason to be dreaming when it's been her reality since she started. You are the one tripping...

Rihanna is aiming to score her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Anti, according to industry forecasters. The set could earn upward of 175,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 4, which may power the set to a jump to No. 1 on the chart dated Feb. 20. Of that sum, perhaps 130,000 could be in pure album sales.
