91% white
9% non white


Non-whites

58% Clinton
34% Sanders
6% O'Malley

These are numbers which what I was alluding to before that should be worrying signs for Sanders. If numbers stay this way or are in bigger majorities to Clinton that's not good news when we get to more diverse states that aren't 91% white.

It's more about how he'll do in states after NH that aren't in his demographic top 3 ( both IA and NH are). I don't think there's any doubt his campaign and strength in NH are impressive or that the general voters will take notice.

If he had been the first gentleman of Arkansas, the first gentleman of the United States, a senator from New York, a Secretary of State and received endorsements by virtually the entire Democratic establishment machine then you bet he'd have the minority support. Hillary has the name recognition, the same isn't expected to be for the Senator from Vermont who only heavily campaigned in two states that are 90%+ white, it's a matter of his name getting out there and that'll be a challenge with the pro-establishment media.

The issue is how we see each other's candidate. Bernie is less an upstart socialist and more a legitimate insurgent candidate now, but Hillary isn't a failing, corrupt establishment-only candidate who is easy to overthrow. Bernie undeniably has the young vote to even greater extents than Obama and she's even tougher now than she was in 2008.

Actually, he does that on his own. And "socialism" is kind of a word that a lot of Americans fear. There was a recent poll that shows people would be least likely to vote for someone who identified as a socialist. A gay, Muslim, female, or black candidate got more theoretical support from the same study.

So, it's actually relevant for American politics.

Well...if you say so. But he did campaign heavily in Iowa and still couldn't make inroads. Not sure how you figure he'd make any more outside of it

Regardless of my deep disagreement with how my generation views politics and each candidate, I will say that I'm a little puzzled by this. Is it that non-college students in our age group just didn't vote at all? Because colleges had record turnouts in several precincts. Is it that the high school students who are old enough don't know they can vote?

Again, those were county delegates, not state delegates. Her coin toss wins had no impact on the final result.

I actually read an entire book about this, there are SO many factors as to why younger demographics don't turn out to vote, like, dozens of factors.

County level delegates; her losing all six might not have even changed very much. It wasn't state-level or national delegates (otherwise I think the whole political world would be up in arms given the four-delegate state gap and the one-to-two-delegate national gap).
