I believe that Katy should've had a dark album after Teenage Dream that was focused on the dark times after the divorce because she went through that dark period. It would've been the perfect transition from Teenage Dream and then after her dark kp3 should've come PRISM but with better lyrics. PRISM has a beautiful concept behind it and it's so sad that it was destroyed by the basic lyrics Katy put out...I mean this transition would've been flawless. I can elaborate further if you would like me to.

PRISM is a good transition album from a light and carefree Teenage Dream to a more mature KP4. She will never release a dark album just yet. Maybe after her GHA. But that something I don't see about Katy and ha bright persona.

kt obviously felt the pressure to top td with prism and it shows hence why she created a watered down version of td. she will never release a dark album whatsoever she loves success and money too much to self sabotage
