1. Sandhja - "Sing It Away": catchy, but bad voice and quite impersonal, wouldn't do well at the contest
2. Annika Milán & Kimmo Blom - "Good Enough": a better version of "Waterfall" (Georgia 2013), this one is a strong contendant
3. Lieminen - "Pehmeiden arvojen vaalijat": interesting song but vocals are too flat
4. Ylona - "Blazing Fire": too much autotune, song is quite flat, chorus is forgettable
5. Tuuli Okkonen - "Don't Wake Me Up": THE BEST SONG! Really strong, not too basic, emotional and well produced
6. Cristal Snow - "Love Is Blind": forgettable, leave it to Lithuania and move on
7. Rafaela Truda - "Rise Up": wtf is this poor man's version of Problem by Ariana Grande
8. Mikael Saari - "On It Goes": boring ballad, copy of Silent Storm/A Monster Like Me
9. Gušani Brothers - "Poom Poom": quite basic but extremely catchy, but it would be Eurovision material if we were in 2005
10. Barbe-Q-Barbies - "Let Me Out": a good rock song, I really enjoyed it, but that's what Finland does every year :rip
11. Pietarin Spektaakkeli - "Liian kuuma": interesting doo-woop song but 100% not ESC material
12. Stella Christine - "Ain't Got Time for Boys": a great song that kinda likes the wow factor for a good Eurovision entry. The most interesting voice, I must say
13. Eini - "Draamaa": very radio friendly, a good song but maybe Eini's voice is a bit too weak
14. Clemso - "Thief": utterly terrible, can't understand a single word, and horrid music and production
15. Pää-Äijät - "Shampanjataivas": lmao a super fun song actually, one of my favorites but I fear it won't get a single point from the juries
16. Attention 2 - "Ready for the Show": no they aren't ready for the show with that badly produced, dated and terribly sung song
17. Saara Aalto - "No Fear": such a masterpiece, with the India-inspired music and vocals, my fave along with Tuuli Okkonen. It would easily snatch a top ten position at the contest (the good sis is bisexual!)
18. Mikko Herranen - "Evil Tone": a nice song with the same peace message, but nothing outstanding
official irish song! daddy nicky byrne from westlife with sunlight
It would be hilarious if Ireland wins with Sweden's recipe last year, at Sweden but I'd be here for it. I love him from Westlife the song is above average too. Now all they need to do is make a memorable show.
I don't know who I dislike more, the Italian homophobic comedian for the poor Checco Zalone or Petra Mede. They're probably the most annoying celebrities ever. I hope Petra won't have a dead cat on her head this year at least.
Since I have a lot of spare time, here are my reviews for the Belgian national finalists:
Adil Aarab - "In Our Nature": it's a good song but it can be improved, maybe a memorable performance would help.
Amaryllis Uitterlinden - "Kick the Habit": weak song, weak voice, more forgettable than the 2015 Swiss entry.
Astrid Destuyver - "Everybody Aches": another quite weak and forgettable song, not here for those Selena Gomez level vocal performance.
Laura Tesoro - "What's the Pressure": she's the favorite to win with the lowest odds. This song gives me Ann Sophie vibes. I think that for this type of song you need a voice with more personality, à la Magdi Rúzsa.
Tom Frantzis - "I'm Not Lost": this would be Belgium's own Standing Still, I honestly hope it wins. He has a really good voice.
