Maybe we could a j-rnb rate for starters:
Jasmine + Miliyah + Crystal Kay + EMI MARIA + JUJU / CHIHIRO / AISHA
Since individual tracks are included in the best of every year, the best album (quality-wise) of each could work.

You just want an excuse to include JASMINE in everything.

It's occurred to me that Crystal was the first somewhat notable Asian artist to ever set up a gofundme for their career. Bus y Doing Nothinginess queen!

Sorry.
It does sound cute though. JUJU's last album isn't really R&B, but I love it so if we're really doing this we should include it.

So far it is:
JASMINE - GOLD
Miliyah - LOVELAND or TRUE LOVERS (?) since I've seen many people praising them. I personally like Heaven.
Crystal Kay - no idea
EMI MARIA - EUPHORIA
JUJU - YOU (?). But her recent one will do too, I guess.
AISHA - either Pink Diamond or I, Shout!!!, but I don't think people will here for her
CHIHIRO - NAMIDA CARATS was ok, but it's probably going to be one of her old releases.

It has to be LOVELAND, please. YOU is good too, so I'm fine with either. And I liked what I've heard from AISHA so I'm fine with her too.
Idk CHIHIRO, and what about BENI (irdk her either, I just remembered her rn)?

Didn't you say that you had listened to CHIHIRO at some point? Well, if that's the case, I can replace her with BENI because she is more relevant than half of the list.

Maybe something like K-Pop's agencies, where everybody starts with SM, YG and JYP.
Y'all keep on posting bops and interesting artists and it's honestly so hard to keep up.
J-Pop newbies, our STRUGGLE.

J-pop is easy as hell to get into.
There's one relevant label: Avex
There are like 4 main pop girls: Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Koda Kumi, Namie Amuro
A few lesser pop girls: BoA, Kana whatever her name is, Otsuka Ai, Kyaru Pamyu, Ami Suzuki, Mai Kiraki
Four pop groups: Perfume, AKB48, Momoiro Clover Z, Morning Musume
And male acts are irrelevant tbh.

No. I was talking about Onitsuka Chihiro.

But yes, do that then.

 Bye.
Ayumi, Kumi and Utada (well bcuz hiatus) aren't even relevant anymore.
Kana and Namie are the top pop girls, with ppl like JUJU following.
And you forgot Perfume.

When Kana, Namie, or JUJU get 40 #1 singles in a row, then I'll take your post seriously.
Until then...

Well, someone has to.
Japan's music scene is so troubled rn. You have idols still smashing on Oricon because of gimmicks; random artists getting hits on the digital charts, of which you don't know if people actually care about or they just got lucky; and the bands that seem to be becoming popular lately eg SNO, back number, Gesu, One OK Rock etc. It's a mess.
Meanwhile most of our female faves are flopping.
