Sia over sings on this for me, so I'm glad Carly snatched and reworked her version. Carly's quick and urgent vocals are part of the appeal and work well with the theme/lyrics.

I don't hear any differences between the demo and the final version tho
You all do realize this is an unmastered demo recording which Sia probably sent to several different artists to see if they wanted to record the song. On a professional demo nobody cares if the vocals are 100 percent amazing. Artists and A&R people just want to get the sketch of the song so they can decide if they like it or not. How can you compare a rough demo to Carly's fully mastered and mixed recording of the song?

It's pretty much the same thing (demo and final version) in all aspects. Lyrics are the same, melodies, production (to an extent). I still prefer Carly's version though. Her voice suits the song so much better and actually gives it the sense of urgency that you get from the production and the lyrics.
