I would love a dancehall/raggae song a la SOTS/Good Times by Jamie XX. Actually I wouldn't mind s collab with Jamie XX

as I said, I wouldnt enjoy a collab with Pitbull either due to association issues (Pitbull = party trash), but it would be a surefire hit around the globe.

I'm over the idea of B getting another global smash hit. If she really wanted one, she would have got one by now. She simply doesn't care anymore, I suppose.

yep exactly, and I truly enjoy the fact she sticks to art > hits. I prefer this a lot more as a fan.
Btw Hive, would u be here for Bey making use of her soft tone again like during DIL?

Absolutely. I mean, who else could deliver songs like Crazy in Love, Naughty Girl, Dangerously in Love, Ring the Alarm, Deja Vu, Check on it, etc. the way Bey does?? No one is able to, while we all know Bey could take any song from her peers and smash it, no matter if its a Hello, ET, Dark Horse, Applause or sth else. Shes one of a kind.

Dark horse with her voice on hiphop star would sound cute but she would leave it as a cute track ŕ la Radio on an I am sasha fierce 2.0

As long as she keeps delivering great music, I don't care about hits. This current generation doesn't really value good music, they rather buy and make songs like Cheerleader or those Justin Bieber's songs quick hit instead of sitting down and getting into good music. Even though "good music" is subjective.

I didn't know him. He was a stan of Queen (the band). Rock fans are so weird, crazy as ATRLers tbh.

Guy I think she got hit in both 4 and ST. I think the managment of release and promo are the problem. Plus radio in the US is shady and a bit dirty. It seem like you got to pay to get played. She had the bop to slay in radio. Great composition and catchy songs. However they been extremly shady specially pop radio.

Love on Top, DrIL and Partition were all hits, not as big as ATRL wanted them to be, but they were hits at the end of the day and got played in different formats. Yep, it seems like radio is a bit dirty and really shady and knowing Bey, she wouldn't let down and start playing those radio stations' guys their game.

Of course some of her music would sound dated since it was released more than decade ago or 5+ years ago. What really matters is that anytime we listen to her music, we still enjoy it like it was the first listen.

Beyonce has had a string of hits these past few yrs TBH...but the thing about it...they were urban hits. it's just that they weren't pop hits and didn't go #1 on Hot 100 that sites like this discount them. its more about impact than what number they landed on TBH...u'd think "Flawless" was one of the biggest hits. "i woke up like this" was already being quoted on memes & by celebs and GP before the song was even thought to become a single. when I think of other legendary artists...such as Aretha for example...she only has 2 #1s...her musical legacy comes from having 20 #1 R&B hits that ppl still sing today..."Natural Woman" that she just did on Kennedy Center Honors wasn't #1 on either chart yet it's still one of her signature songs.
if beyonce wanted to a huge pop hit..she could. all it takes is the song plus promoting & utilizing these clear channel deals that these other girls are doing.

That what ive been saying. Dril was not a WW smaah like ATRL want it to be. Because oglf chart position. But it is a recognizable song. Her strategy has been on point since 4. She is using stteaming and her social media power better than any other artis. Even do she has "no personality" and she just post pic. But if you look at her streaming. She is a recuremt artist. But I think next era her lead single would be huge. Like for example watch 4 numbers and compare it to albums that came in 11' 12' or even 13'. She will have a huge hit next era. Without much promo. Will it go #1 maybe not but top 5 radio hit is a win for her. Plus her music seems to be more apreciated by gp. She has shown with her last two eras that she dont need to much radio suport for her songs to be remember and recognizable.
...
Btw I just want one radio hit. With great quality. That alone can carry on her next era to sell more than ST. I feel like SL is still to present she need that jam to move on from that.

She is making music that will sell good in long terms. See 4, it didn't have any "smash hits" yet it sold way over 3 million copies worldwide. The same amount of Unapologetic and PRISM. See BEYONCÉ, it didn't have any "global hit" and yet it sold the same amount as PRISM, which had Dark Horse or Roar. People will still show interest in her music even if she hasn't released something new for a while.
Urban listeners are more loyal than pop ones, it's always been that way. Hence why artists who do well on the urban format get decent first week sales and end up selling decent amount of copies for someone who isn't a crossover artist. Beyoncé is a crossover artist though, she has urban and pop followers.
She has adapted really well to this new industry some artists haven't been capable of facing. See her streaming and VEVO numbers.
